Useful answers

Frequently asked questions.

Still unsure? Send the product link, your deadline and what you plan to do with the piece.

When will my order be dispatched?

Most ready-to-order products need around 2–3 weeks of production before dispatch. Larger or fully finished pieces can need more time. Any product-specific estimate takes priority.

Will an FDM print have visible lines?

Yes. FDM printing builds a piece in layers, so raw prints naturally show layer lines and may show support-contact marks. Select a prepared finish if you do not want to complete that surface work yourself.

What is the difference between raw, primed and finished?

Raw is the maker-friendly starting point; sanded and primed is prepared for your paint; finished and painted is completed by Potify3D. Read the option description on the product page before adding to cart.

Can you resize or alter a listed cosplay piece?

Often, but not through the standard product options. Use the custom cosplay enquiry so dimensions, source files, strength, finish and deadline can be checked together.

Can I use a prop at a convention?

Convention rules differ, particularly for replica weapons and large props. Check the organiser's current policy before ordering and mention the event in a custom enquiry when the build needs to meet specific requirements.

What happens if an order arrives damaged?

Contact Potify3D promptly with your order number plus clear photographs of the packaging and damage. The available resolution depends on the item and shipping circumstances.

Will I pay customs charges?

Orders sent outside the United Kingdom may be assessed for taxes, duties or handling fees by the destination country. These are not controlled by Potify3D.

Can a made-to-order or customised item be returned?

Return eligibility depends on the product and circumstances. Contact Potify3D before sending anything back so the correct next step can be confirmed.
